Needs Analysis on the Cooperation between English Language Teachers and IT Staff

How can language teachers and IT staff work more effectively and efficiently?
2. What would be the best tools to find out this information?
Survey (for all teachers) and interview for focus groups (for selected IT staff and language teachers with most diverse backgrounds) to find out different issues from their point of view.

Teachers and IT staffs who are knowledgeable about the problem/ or in other words, had experience in working with each other for a language class at State University of Surabaya

Rationale about factors that hinder cooperation between IT staff and language teacher:

1. English language teachers and IT staff have little prior communication, which leads to less mutual agreement on responsibility sharing in class.

2. Teachers and IT staff may have mismatched expectation about the other person’s responsibility and capacity.

3. Teachers and IT staff may not share mutual awareness about students’ computer literacy and factors that distract the efficiency of language classes so it’s worth to survey them on the assumption of these following issues:

a. To know how often the students, teachers, and admin staff use the internet

b. To know how good the internet connection is

c. To know the purpose of using the internet

d. To know the fast response of IT staff facing the problem and complaints

  1. Are the questions for teachers an interview or a questionnaire? Why are the answers in grey?I am not sure I understand this part.
    When you give a lot of choices (question 3 for example) it is important to have at the end a choice "other_____" in case you have not thought of everything. Also for number 3 you need something like "choose all that apply" otherwise they are only going to chose one ike on the other questions.
